OAOP/AVSAR Stall for PM Vishwakarma Beneficiaries Inaugurated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport

Chandigarh, July 22: A stall under the One Airport One Product (OAOP)/AVSAR Scheme for PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries of U.T. Chandigarh was inaugurated today at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh, in collaboration with a Self Help Group (SHG) supported by NABARD.

The stall was inaugurated by Shri Pankaj Kumar Jha, Joint Director, MSME Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Ludhiana, and Shri Vishal Sabharwal, Office Superintendent, Department of Industries, U.T. Chandigarh, in the presence of officials from the Department of Industries and MSME-DFO, Ludhiana.

The initiative aims to provide PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries with a dedicated platform to showcase and market their products, enabling traditional artisans to reach a wider customer base while promoting the rich local craftsmanship of Chandigarh. The stall is expected to improve market access, create sustainable livelihood opportunities, and strengthen the visibility of indigenous products.

Located at one of the region's busiest airports, the OAOP/AVSAR stall will enable passengers and visitors to experience and purchase locally crafted products, thereby enhancing market linkages for artisans, supporting the growth of micro-enterprises, and contributing to the promotion of the 'Vocal for Local' vision.
